Why It's Easier to Shoplift and Scam as a Woman

There are a lot of things that make it easier to shoplift as a woman.
1. Women are expected to carry around purses, and large tote style purses are often in style. A man carrying a purse looks suspicious no matter the location.
2. It's more accepted for a woman to be doing the shopping for the household. A man shopping looks suspicious unless he's with his wife or girlfriend.
3. Women are expected to be calm, law-abiding, and non-threatening.
4. Women can wander for hours going in and out of every aisle, while men are expected to just get in and out. It's easier to exhaust an LP by wandering around for hours than to try to escape.
5. Women can make multiple trips to the bathroom to conceal items and just claim to be pregnant.
6. Women can claim sexual harassment if an LP or employee touches them when trying to apprehend them, and no store is going to risk getting slapped with a lawsuit because someone grabbed your arm or asked to look in your bag.

While it is easier to shoplift as a woman, there are still some necessary precautions to take.
1. Dress nicely, but not too fancy. Wear somewhat fitted clothes. People will look at you and see that you clearly can't fit a CD down your skinny jeans (unless you have a fuckin huge vagina). Put on some makeup, do your hair, look like every other sheeple. The less you stick out, the better.
2. Do not use backpacks, messanger bags, or any bags with a lot of flaps or zippers, or any really small purses. Get a large purse that stands upright on its own, and has several pockets on the inside.
3. Inside the purse, keep the following items:
a. Your "shopping list"- list the fake things first, then the things you plan on shoplifting
b. Your phone- this is important so you can "check the time" or whatever as an excuse for why you're in your purse so much
c. Your car keys- unless you walked to the store
d. Your credit/debit card- this way you can pay if you are stopped, but the LP can't incriminate you by saying you only had cash
e. A scarf or a hat or something similar- Wear these items into the store and take them off as if you are too hot. Use them to cover the stolen goods.
f. A small pocket knife or small pair of scissors or very sharp nail clippers- to cut open packages without being too suspicious looking if your bag is checked.
4. Don't go for the biggest container of something. It is easier to steal the small, individual sizes of expensive shampoo and conditioner than to try to steal the big family sized bottles.
5. Try to shoplift only small breakable items. Little glass containers of 10 dollar olive oil, small glass bottles of perfume, whatever would break easily if just put down in the cart rather than in the child seat with your purse. This way you can claim that you were worried about the items breaking in the cart if you are asked. Then you can just slip the items in and go about your shopping.
6. Listen to the announcements. Department 64, 79, and 70 are common code names for the LP in the store. If you hear one of these departments paged to where you are located in the store, then move to a completely separate area. Moving from the women's clothes to the men's clothes isn't far enough, as the LP will check the surrounding areas. Go across the store.
7. Remove all packaging from the items. Even if they don't have one of the little magnetic security devices, they may still set off the alarms. It's better to take the extra time to open everything than to just try to run out the door without being stopped.
8. Don't leave using the same door you came in (unless the store only has one door). Some larger stores have up to 4 exits. It's worth the walk once you get out of the building with your haul.
